DESCRIPTION:QNetworks is a two-day international workshop organised by the Integrated Quantum Networks (IQN) Hub\, the UK’s flagship national programme for quantum networks research. QNetworks invites thought leaders from similar flagship R&D initiatives across the world and brings together key governmental and industry voices to discuss the challenges\, solutions\, and partnerships required to deliver the next generation of quantum networks.  \nThis year’s event will take place in person at Bristol on 12-13 May 2026\, and will be free to attend thanks to support from the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC).  \nSessions will cover recent developments on quantum memories; integrated photonics for quantum networking\, enabling technologies and field trials; the role of entanglement; post-quantum cryptography; quantum communications via satellite; networked quantum systems for distributed sensing and computing; and more.

DESCRIPTION:Launched in August 2022\, the Quantum Energy Initiative is fostering a worldwide community of experts willing to develop scientific approaches to evaluating and minimizing the physical resource costs of emerging quantum technologies. This requires the synergy of a broad range of expertises\, from fundamental quantum physics to enabling technologies\, from hardware to software\, from research to industry. \nTOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP – Research on energy or other resources in the following contexts: \n\nFundamental quantum devices: Energy\, entropy or resources at the fundamental quantum level\, quantum gates\, generation and preparation of quantum resources\, interconnect quantum functionalities.\nQuantum hardware and enabling technologies: Macroscopic energy and entropy for quantum devices\, implementations of cooling systems\, control electronics\, energy aware full-stack computers etc.\nQuantum algorithms and software: NISQ or large-scale quantum computing\, quantum communication protocols\, resource optimization\, error correction\, compilation etc.\nHybrid HPC-quantum\, reservoir computing\, etc: High-performance computing (HPC) in hybrid with quantum technologies. Reservoir and Neuromorphic computing. Classical computing inspired by quantum algorithms. DESCRIPTION:Padua SQI26 is to bring together researchers and technologists interested in proposing or realizing experiments of quantum science in space\, or to develop instruments or technology aimed to operate in space or along free-space links as validators or proofs of concept.
