The International Symposium on Superconductivity (ISS), first held in 1988, celebrates its 39th edition this year. Under the chairmanship of Professor Akira Fujimaki, the symposium will take place from December 1 to 3, 2026, at the Toyama International Conference Center. Toyama is a historic and compact city that represents the essence of Japan, blessed with majestic mountains and renowned for its abundant seafood. Early December, when ISS is held, marks the beginning of winter in Toyama. The city is conveniently located about two hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
